Here’s how the rest works.

01 About this policy

This policy explains how ClipLite ("we", "us") handles information when you use the ClipLite Android app and this website. Our privacy contact is adjiesantooso@gmail.com.

02 Your videos & files

Videos you select or share into ClipLite are read and processed on your device for compression, trimming, GIF creation, and frame extraction. ClipLite does not upload your videos, audio, or extracted frames to our servers for processing.

The app reads file information such as size, duration, dimensions, audio availability, and embedded metadata. Temporary output files and thumbnails are created locally. Recent export history stores up to ten entries, including file names, local paths, sizes, and export times, in the app’s local storage.

Saving an export writes it to your device’s gallery. Sharing an export sends it to the app or destination you choose; that service handles the file under its own terms and privacy policy. If you choose a file from a cloud-backed file provider, that provider may download it to your device.

03 App data & services

Video processing happens locally, but the app uses these Google services:

Anonymous identification

Firebase Authentication creates a pseudonymous user ID without asking you to register with an email address or password. ClipLite associates this ID with analytics and crash reports. It can link activity from the same app installation; it does not make that activity unidentifiable. Authentication also processes connection information such as IP addresses to operate the service and prevent abuse.

Usage analytics

Google Analytics for Firebase helps us understand app use and improve ClipLite. Events include selected editing modes, video sizes and durations, target sizes, export results and timing, settings changes, ad rewards, and purchase-related actions. The SDK also collects app and device information and installation identifiers, and may derive approximate location from network information. Custom events do not intentionally include your video contents or file names.

Crash reports

Firebase Crashlytics receives errors, stack traces, installation identifiers, and app and device diagnostics so we can investigate failures. Reports are associated with the pseudonymous user ID. Error messages can contain technical details such as local file paths.

App configuration

Firebase Remote Config provides settings such as daily usage limits and feature availability. It uses a Firebase installation ID to return configuration values to the app.

Advertising

ClipLite uses Google AdMob for rewarded ads. Its SDK can collect and share IP addresses, advertising and other device identifiers, ad interactions, and diagnostic information for ad delivery, measurement, and fraud prevention. An IP address may be used to estimate approximate location. Ad data may be processed when the SDK initializes or loads an ad, before you choose to watch one. Personalization depends on available identifiers, your settings, and applicable consent requirements.

Purchases & local preferences

Google Play handles ClipLite Pro purchases and payment details. ClipLite receives purchase status to unlock or restore Pro; it does not receive your payment card details. Settings, onboarding status, daily usage counters, and Pro status are stored locally.

For more information, see Google’s Privacy Policy, Firebase’s privacy information, and AdMob’s data disclosures.

04 Sharing & security

Information described above is processed by Google through Firebase, Google Analytics, AdMob, and Google Play for the purposes described in this policy. Google may process information in countries other than yours. We may also disclose information when required by law or to address fraud, abuse, or threats to security.

Google’s SDKs use encrypted network connections for data transmission. Local files and preferences use Android’s storage protections. No storage or transmission method can guarantee absolute security.

05 Retention & deletion

Local preferences and history remain until replaced or removed by clearing app storage or uninstalling. Temporary media can remain in the app’s cache until cleared by you or Android. Files saved to your gallery or shared elsewhere remain until you delete them from those locations. Android backup settings may also affect whether app data is restored.

Cloud data follows the relevant service’s retention rules and project settings. Crashlytics generally keeps crash reports and associated identifiers for 90 days before beginning removal. Authentication records remain until deleted; Remote Config installation identifiers remain until deletion is requested. Analytics event data follows the retention settings of our Google Analytics property; aggregate reports can be retained longer. Advertising and purchase records follow Google’s retention policies.

To request access to or deletion of information associated with ClipLite, email adjiesantooso@gmail.com. Describe your request without sending your videos, payment details, or passwords. Because the app uses a pseudonymous ID, we may need additional information to identify the relevant records. Clearing app storage does not by itself delete cloud records. We will explain any identification limits or information that must be retained for legal, security, or transaction purposes.

06 Your choices

  • Choose which videos to open, save, or share. Manage media access and notification permissions through Android settings.
  • Clear ClipLite’s cache or app storage through Android settings. Clearing storage resets preferences, local history, and the locally stored Pro status; eligible purchases can be restored through Google Play.
  • Manage your advertising ID and available ad privacy controls in Android or Google settings. Resetting an advertising ID does not reset every identifier used by the app.
  • Contact us with privacy requests. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of personal information, or to object to certain processing.

If you believe a child has provided personal information through ClipLite, contact us so we can investigate and address it.

07 This website

This privacy page does not load advertising, analytics scripts, external fonts, or tracking cookies. Firebase Hosting receives connection information, including your IP address, to deliver the page and help prevent abuse. Firebase states that Hosting retains IP data for a few months. Visiting a linked website is subject to that website’s privacy policy.
